A Story of Giving

One regular Sunday morning at church, it was time to collect the offering, and I had nothing to give. I was 17 or 18 years old, probably in between jobs or just plain broke. My father’s church was a small, close-knit congregation, a stark contrast to the larger ones I had grown up in, where the energy of mass worship, powerful music, and collective praise was palpable. I wanted to help my father’s church grow and thrive. That day, not having a dollar to my name hurt me deeply. Giving and sharing had always been natural to me, but this day rocked me to the core. After the service, I went to Lake James nearby and sat on a bench, pouring my heart out in prayer. I asked God to give me the ability to give, promising that if blessed, I would always do my part to give and tithe.Fast forward to today, I have been successful in the music business and have kept my word. That prayer has transformed into a new mission through the VOLUME Foundation. We aim to build an arc of opportunity, partnering with churches of any denomination to strengthen communities by injecting resources directly to those in need. We will identify families and institutions in need, forming an international unity of people with common goals.Through scholarships, holiday giving, building funds, crisis aid, and the distribution of literature on health, wealth, mental, and spiritual well-being, we strive to impact communities across the globe. The VOLUME Foundation is here to grow and change with you, welcoming all ideas to better serve our mission.I am proud to say that my father, Apostle Floyd Hills, has a ministry spreading from Ghana to El Salvador, and of course, in our hometown of Virginia Beach, VA. But this is just the beginning. Join us in building a stronger, more unified world.- Floyd Nathaniel Hills, Founder
